"Not What He Planned"
ohnny was sitting in the doorway, making it difficult for Dr. Hughes' assistants to move in and out of the room, while his wife, Judy, received a renowned SAE style root canal treatment. "What are you doing these days, Johnny?" Dr. Hughes asked. "Writing stories and taking pictures for website 'about us' pages," Johnny answered. "In fact, I'm just that close to building a whole website. The books I've been reading and the seminars I've attended have convinced me that the time has come for a different kind of website. I envision a story-powered, relational, personal site that lets people experience in advance what it is like to receive the services of the provider. I believe we can do that through the amazing power of a story.
Dr. Hughes, being a good friend and a kind man said, "We are working on our web site. Would you like to make a presentation to us?" Flabbergasted, Johnny said, "Absolutely!" trying to hide the fact that a rabble of butterflies had just taken flight in his stomach.
The time was set and Johnny arrived, simply to tell them about the vision he has for a website that is very different from the informational style web sites that have worked so well in the past.
The whole team liked the idea. Johnny was both thrilled and terrified at the same time and that's how The J3 Effect.com was born.

I started my own business when I was 15. Id read a stack of magazines every month, sifting for stories and quotes public speakers could use to spice up their presentation. I compiled my findings in a monthly news letter, "The JRW Magazine Survey." The rag attracted subscribers from all over the nation.
Photography an early interest, landed me the job of school photographer at Thomas A Edison High in San Antonio. I sang in the choir, led a city Wide Youth Organization and during my Senior year served as President of the Student body.
At Baylor University, the impossible happened. I became the only-ever undergrad conductor of the, still prestigious, BRH Choir.
Most of my adult years I have led church and civic music organizations. I have also manged student housing and worked as a Special Agent for the Prudential Insurance Company.
During the recent 18 years, I led the Music and Arts department at Casas Church, It was my privilege to produce not only the week-end service experience, but Easter and Christmas Pagents that became city-wide events. For two years I led the Pusch Ridge Community Chorus, performing with the Tucson Sympony Orchestra at the Oro Valley Fourth of July Celebration.
After 47seven years leading music organizations, I started the business I now lead. I've always loved the feel of a sucessful business and today I'm humbled when a business trusts our company to join their marketing efforts on the World Wide Web.
I've always loved business and business people...I think I've read more business books than any other kind of books. The Creator, I believe, loves people and business. I'm a faithful church attender, but to me it's more about a relationship with God than it is about being religious. I depend on Him for life and business.
I've chosen to call our company The J3 Effect. The J3 effect happens when people honoring marketing is leveraged with the hottest on line technologies at our disposal.
